Design Internship, 2014 NBA Summer League

Las Vegas, NV
This project took place mostly on-site during an internship, at the 2014 Samsung NBA Summer League, July 11–21, in Las Vegas, NV. A portion of the creative I designed remotely, in the months leading up to the event, with the bulk of them created court-side throughout the length of the tournament — from billboards, social media graphics and in-arena signage, to digital and printed promotional assets, such as banner ads, game invites, special event flyers and posters.
The 2014 National Basketball Association Summer League marked the event’s 10th Anniversary, an annual two-week tournament of 64 individual matchups between all NBA teams, showcasing top new talent in the NBA, prior to the regular season.
The specific list of deliverables I was tasked with creating included event programs, posters, game schedules, digital ads, digital billboards on the Vegas Strip, social media assets covering game recaps, player highlights, and score updates, displayed on the NBA’s official Facebook & Twitter accounts, as well as on-court digital signage — from the Jumbotron, to baseline & court-side LEDs.
